BEST OF PARADISE ISLAND TOUR 

Tour Destinations: Public Market Complex, Dowhill Interpretation Centre, Shirley Heights (The Block House and the Look Out), Nelson Dockyard,Devil's Bridge/Indian Town and beach stop at Longbay Beach

** You will be picked up at the cruise ship pier and be dropped off at the cruise ship pier at the end of the tour **

Tour Description:

After departing the cruise ship pier we will take a drive down to the St. John's City Public Market

Public Market Picture Two: Vendors selling Fruits and Vegetable (Squash, Cucumbers, Plantains, Bananas, Water Melons,  Tomatoes, Sweet Potatoes, etc)

We'll then drive up All Saints Road through local villages until we get to the St. Barnabas Anglican Church, which is Antigua second oldest church

We will then drive up Horseford Hill and then you'll get a lovely view of Falmouth Harbor, which is where the British settled when the came to Antigua in 1632

The next stop will be the Nelson's Dockyard National. 

The first destination in the National Park will be The Dowhill Interpretation Centre, which was once a Fort called Fort Dow

At the Dowhill Interpretation Centre you'll be given a visual presentation about the island's history from the arrival of the Amerindians up to present day Antigua. After the presentation is completed then a tour guide will give you a brief tour of the outside surroundings.

The next stop within the National Park will be the Block House.

The Block House was was once another British Fort. From the Block House Hill you'll be able to view a property owned by Eric Clapton, The Volcanic Island of Monserrat, The St. James' Club Beach Resort and on a very clear day the french island of Guadeloupe can also be seen

The next stop will be Shirley Heights, which is the island's most scenic view.

The next stop will be Nelson's Dockyard, which was an old British Naval Base

We will then drive across the island to the North East Coast to visit the Indian Point National Part to the Indian Cove, Hog Hole Bay, Devil's Bridge and Indian Point

 Your beach stop will be the beautiful Longbay Beach. There is a restaurant with a bathroom on the beach. You can rent snorkelling gears, beach chairs, umbrellas and jet ski's on the beach.

National Park Entrance Fee

** Important information: There is a USD$8.00 entrance fee to the Dockyard National Park, which provides a guided tour of the Historical Naval facilities. The National Park includes the Dowhill Interpretation Centre, Shirley Heights and Nelson Dockyard. This fee applies to anyone 12 years old and over. **
